The Tearful Tragedy of the Hannelore-Marr Party is a winter tale recited around warm hearths to warn people of the folly of travel in the Wastes. The world is wild and unpredictable in ideal circumstances. Compounding the dangers of winter upon an already hostile landscape makes venturing into the Wastes a death sentence. Still, there are those forced to take such risks in times of dire necessity. Your players are out in the wastes attempting to serve such needs when they stumble upon a cave containing an ancient mystery. Once inside, will they ever leave again?

A creepy take on the Donner-Reed party. The two Cavern of Human Remains and Cavern of Wanderlings tables that echo each other's entries is a nice touch. The rattamber and its amberat drops are another fun element in this adventure, though I note that consuming amberat does not appear to give the individual gas. Perhaps that's a bit juvenile, but I might add it as a side effect anyway when I run this!
